Randomization Policy
Effective July 22, 2026
Some of what's in your Collector Edition bundle is randomized. This page explains what that means in plain terms: what's guaranteed, what's left to chance, and how we approach it.
1. What's Guaranteed vs. What's Randomized
Every bundle tier guarantees a specific quantity and category of items. That part isn't random. For example, a Mastery bundle guarantees 3 booster boxes, 2 EPIC serialized cards, and 2 autograph-authenticated CGC slabs. What's randomized is which specific character, card variation, or grade you get within each category. You always know what kinds of things you're getting and how many. You don't know in advance exactly which version of each you'll pull.
The current contents for each tier are listed on the pre-order page for that tier, and that listing is the source of truth for what's guaranteed.
2. Every Item Has Value on Its Own
Randomization here applies to which specific item you receive within a category you've already paid for and are guaranteed to get, not to whether you receive anything at all. You're never left with nothing: every pack, slab, and pin in your bundle is a real, tangible (or digital, in the case of VeVe twins) item with its own standalone value. This is the same basic mechanic used by traditional trading card packs from companies like Topps and Panini, where you know you're getting cards, just not which exact players or parallels.
3. How the Randomization Works
Physical card packs are assembled and sealed during production according to standard trading card industry practices, so the exact contents of any individual pack are unknown to us and to you until it's opened. CGC slab characters and grades, VeVe digital twin assignments, and autograph placements are also determined independently of which bundle tier or specific order you purchase, beyond the guaranteed quantities for that tier.
4. We Don't Publish Fixed Odds
We don't currently publish a fixed probability (like "1 in 500") for pulling any specific card, character, or grade. Print runs, available character rosters, and grade distributions can all affect actual odds, and we don't want to state a number we can't stand behind. Where we do call out a specific chance, such as a bonus item that only a portion of a given tier's bundles will include, we state it directly on the product page, and that stated odds is accurate for that specific offer.
5. Autographs and CGC Grading
Autograph-authenticated CGC slabs are randomized by voice actor and character. We don't guarantee any particular actor's signature unless a listing specifically says so. CGC grading reflects the physical condition of the card as assessed by CGC; we don't control or influence the grade a given card receives.
6. VeVe Digital Twins
The digital twin you receive through your VeVe redemption code is also randomized, independently of which physical cards you pull in the same pack. Duplicate digital twins are possible across multiple purchases.
7. This Isn't a Game of Chance
Because every bundle guarantees real, valuable items rather than a chance at winning something or nothing, we don't consider this randomization to be gambling or a lottery. That said, laws about randomized product mechanics vary by state and country and continue to evolve, and this page isn't a legal determination. If you have questions about how this applies in your jurisdiction, we'd encourage you to consult your own advisor.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we change how randomization works for a future series or tier, we'll update this page and the effective date above, and we'll always describe what's guaranteed for a given tier on that tier's own product page before you buy it.
